How long is a lesson?

Lessons are 1 hour.

Can I bring a friend?

Semi-private lessons can be arranged for 2 people.

How long will it take to learn to ride a horse?

That depends on a number of things which will be discussed in the first meeting.

What is leading a horse?

Leading a horse is walking with a horse and taking the lead in where to go and how to direct the horse.

What is lunging a horse?

When lunging a horse, the handler controls the horse by using aids that ask the horse to move faster or slower, bend on a circle or move closer to or farther away from you. Aids include the lunge rope and your body language.

What is bridling a horse?

A bridle is a piece of equipment used to direct a horse. The "bridle" includes both the headstall that holds a bit that goes in the mouth of a horse and the reins that are attached to the bit.  There are techniques involved in putting this on the horse.

What to wear?

Long pants. Jeans preferred. Closed toe shoes. Boots preferred.

Under 18 must wear a helmet.  You can bring your own or one will be provided.
